Glasgow has tested positive for coronavirus.Parents of kids attending Carntyne Primary were made aware of the case today after being sent a letter by public health consultant Dr Iain Kennedy.Health chiefs say that the child – who is now in quarantine – had not attended school since developing Covid-19.Glasgow City Council say there is no need for contact tracing and echoed Dr Kennedy's reassurance that there has been no evidence of transmission at the school.The child is said not to have attended class during the "infectious period".The Glasgow Times reports how Dr Kennedy's letter states: "I write to confirm that a pupil who attends your child’s school, Carntyne Primary School, has tested positive for Covid-19, however they were not.
