The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have agreed to cancel any social events they have planned in the run-up to Christmas. This is so the Royal couple can spend time with William's 95-year-old grandmother, The Queen on Christmas Day.
Measures have been brought in to ensure her Majesty is not alone over the festive period, following the continuing spread of the COVID-19 variant Omicron.The Queen has already made the tough decision to cancel the Royal Family's annual pre-Christmas party at which she was to spend time with her newest great-grandchildren.This will be the first Christmas for The Queen without her beloved husband Prince Philip, who passed away earlier this year.
