After saying 'I Do' at St Paul's Cathedral, Prince Charles and Princess Diana headed to Balmoral for the first part of their honeymoon.
Despite her smiles for the cameras, Diana is said to have hated being there and reportedly claimed she felt "oppressed and hemmed in".
Behind the scenes Diana was growing increasingly concerned about her new husband's relationship with his ex Camilla Parker Bowles.
The pair had dated before Charles met Diana, splitting when the prince was sent away with the military. According to a royal expert, Charles sent an "unbelievable" nod to his ex while on honeymoon with his new wife, and it understandably left her heartbroken.
