Premier League urged by Glenn Murray not to restart without fans amid coronavirus fears

Glenn Murray says Premier League football should NOT restart until fans are allowed back into matches. Brighton striker Murray wants to be back playing as soon as possible, with plans being considered for a June 1 restart behind closed doors.

But the 36-year-old claims football without fans is a terrible idea - and insists it’s better to wait until it’s safe for everyone to attend.

He said: “First and foremost all professional footballers want to finish the league. "Obviously it all depends on timings of the virus and how quickly we can get over this. “But for me I watched a couple of games in Italy without fans and the game’s just not the same.
