Premier League receive £100million warning from France amid coronavirus pandemic

Premier League bosses have been warned that failure to complete the season amid the coronavirus epidemic will see them take a massive financial hit.

That is because television broadcasters could refuse to pay out for TV rights if there are no games for them to show. As the days go by it is becoming increasingly likely that there will be no time to complete the current season before it is declared null and void.

And the Premier League has seemingly been sent a massive warning sign by France with broadcaster Canal Plus telling the top two divisions there that it will not pay its next £100million instalment for TV rights as no games are bing played.
