Indeed, the success of the aforementioned teams meant it was agony for Leicester, who will have to settle for the Europa League, as well as relegated duo Bournemouth and Watford.
Elsewhere, champions Liverpool ended the season on a high and Manchester City gave departing superstar David Silva a memorable send-off at the Etihad.
