A pollen “bomb” could explode today, causing misery for hay fever sufferers. Summer rain following the unusually sunny spring creates the perfect conditions for grass to flourish.
As grass pollen is the most common allergy for hay fever suffers, affecting 90%, it could make conditions unbearable for millions.
Max Wiseberg, creator of HayMax allergen balm, said: “Wetter weather forecast for the next few days, after the long dry spell, will cause grass to flourish.
It will produce loads more pollen, triggering a huge pollen explosion from Monday.” Over 20 million sufferers face difficulty this summer.
