A policewoman who was thrown off her horse at the Justice for George Floyd protest in central London has been hospitalised. Footage shows the moment the police officer collided with a traffic light, causing her to fall off a horse during the demonstration.
The horse later made its own way back to its stables. In a statement, the Met Police said 14 arrests were made at the Black Lives Matter protest.
It added that although the demonstration largely went by "without event", the mood of the crowd changed after the majority left Whitehall at around 7pm.
The force said 10 officers were injured at the demonstration after the remaining crowd became "angry and intent on violence".
