Police in Stockport arrested a man for breaching bail - but found him armed with a huge haul of weapons including an axe, knives, and a gun and live ammunition.
Officers attended a report of a disturbance in Bredbury on Wednesday evening (January 24), and found a male matching the description given 'stood against the wall' and 'intoxicated'.
He was arrested for breach of bail, and upon being searched officers discovered an axe, a flick knife, three throwing knives, a homemade spring loaded 'viable firearm', live ammunition, and a bag full of metal pellets and used ammunition. He was subsequently arrested for posession of offensive weapons, possession of a bladed article in a public place, possession of a firearm and aggravated burglary, police said.
