Police reveal new service providing crime updates for these areas in Bolton

Residents in Bolton will have a new place to turn for important crime updates and advice - and it will be run by police officers themselves.

The police are setting up a brand new Facebook page to share their activities in the Bolton West area. The Facebook page, expected to launch on March 30.

It is hoped to get communities talking and even provide responses to local crime concerns. People in Horwich, Westhoughton and the 'Chorley Roads' area, including Lostock, Halliwell, Smithills and Johnson Fold, will soon be able to follow the new page, ask questions and get updates from their neighbourhood police team.
