It was the night before Christmas when PC Helena Stone decided to get behind the wheel of a car, despite being too drunk to drive.
Now, after being caught red-handed by her Greater Manchester Police colleagues, she has received a ban from driving and from ever serving in the police again.
The former GMP officer was caught by her fellow officers during their annual sting operation against people who drink and drive during the Christmas period, on December 24, 2022.
She was arrested after being stopped in Oldham, and was later brought before Liverpool Magistrates Court. The judge fined her £400 and disqualified from driving for 18 months, but the consequences of PC Helena's actions did not end there.
