Police launch desperate investigation to trace missing Ayrshire teen last seen in Irvine

Police are appeal for information to help trace a missing Ayrshire teenager.Mackenzie Kean, 15, was last seen at around 9.50am yesterday (Wednesday, February 5) after getting off a Stagecoach bus on Kilwinning Road in Irvine.The teenager, from Kilwinning, is described as around 5-feet 2-inches, with long brown hair and was last seen wearing a black puffer style jacket, a black jumper, grey jogging bottoms and black and white trainers.Police have said "concerns are growing for her welfare" and have asked the public to contact them with any information that may help in tracing Mackenzie.Sergeant Craig Turnbull said: “We need to make sure Mackenzie is safe and well and we are asking the public to get in touch if they have seen her or know where she might be.“Anyone who can help should contact us via 101, quoting reference number 3590 of Wednesday, February 5."
