Police issue update as two men killed in double stabbing are named

The two men killed in a double stabbing in Manchester have been named. Emergency services raced out to Great Southern Street, in Moss Side, at around 5am on Sunday (November 17).

Tragically, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, despite the best efforts of first responders. In an update issued tonight (Monday), Greater Manchester Police has named the pair as Norman Scott, 68, and Sidy Fall, 75.

Both men were local to Moss Side. A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday morning. It's thought he was known to one of the victims. Police said on Sunday that the incident was 'isolated' and they were not looking for any other suspect. Chief Superintendent David Meeney, district commander for the City of Manchester division at GMP, said: “Our thoughts remain with the families and loved ones, filled with grief after receiving the most devastating news yesterday.
