Two suspects who were arrested on suspicion of murder after an elderly woman was found dead at a house in Ramsbottom have been released on bail, police have confirmed in an update.
The woman - aged in her 70s - was sadly pronounced dead on the scene at the home on Harrison Street on Tuesday (November 26).
Paramedics first descended at around 4.30am over 'reports of concern for her welfare', before police were then alerted. An investigation was launched and a man and a woman - both aged in their 30s - were arrested on suspicion of murder.
