Police have launched an investigation following the sudden death of a schoolgirl. Tilly Fern Wooler was rushed to hospital after her friends alerted paramedics, a coroner has heard.
The 16-year-old was transferred from A&E to an intensive care unit, but tragically died. An inquest has been opened into the death of the schoolgirl from Todmorden in West Yorkshire, near to the border with Rochdale borough.
Assistant coroner Caroline Chandler adjourned the inquest at Bradford Coroners' Court to allow West Yorkshire Police to continue its investigation, Yorkshire Live reports.
Tilly was rushed to Calderdale Royal Hospital, in Halifax, where she sadly died at 1.07pm on Saturday, July 20.
