A man has been charged with two counts of murder after two women died in an alleged attack in Milton Keynes on Christmas Day.

Jazwell Brown, 49, of Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley, has also been charged with two counts of attempted murder; and one count each of possession of a knife in a public place and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal in connection with the incident, Thames Valley Police said.

Officers were called to Santa Cruz Avenue at about 6.30pm on Wednesday (December 25), where the two women died. A man in his late 20s and teenage boy were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the force confirmed the identities of the victims as Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, both of Milton Keynes.
