A police scene at a playing fields in Salford where the body of a baby girl was found 10 days ago has been stood down, officers have said.
But the investigation into the death of Baby Ava, as the child has been named by police, continues. A huge appeal to trace her mother continues.
On Thursday night GMP said she may need urgent medical attention. Baby Ava was tragically found at 12.22pm on November 20 on Ashtons Field, which is off Cleggs Lane near where it crosses the M61 motorway. In an update today GMP Salford said dozens of soft toys left at the scene by members of the public have been 'carefully collected' and will now be donated to new homes.
