The death of a woman whose body was found near a river bank in Bury is not being treated as suspicious, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed.
The 46-year-old woman was tragically found dead on banking near the River Roch, on the Goshen Playing Field, on Sunday morning (November 19).
Police, fire crews and specialist water search teams had been nearby the evening before, beside Newby Close, after being called at around around 5.15pm.
Police said they responded to reports of concern for the welfare of a woman, while the fire service said crews had attended to assist in a rescue of a person from the water.
