A teenager who was arrested after a 19-year-old was stabbed in the chest in a 'targeted attack' in a park in Bury has been released on bail, police have confirmed.
The teenager was attacked in Whitehead Park off Ainsworth Road on February 12. Officers said the victim was approached by three males before a fight then broke out.
He was stabbed in the left side of his chest. Officers said he did not know the males, though they said the attack was believed to have been 'targeted and isolated'. In an update issued today (March 2), a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said he had been released on bail pending further investigations.
