Three boys aged 11 and 12 have been arrested after a 14 year-old was threatened at knifepoint for a gold chain he was wearing, police have revealed.

All three youngsters were held on suspicion of robbery and remained in police custody today, Monday, Greater Manchester Police said.

The teenage boy - said to have been targeted in the Old Trafford area of Manchester on Sunday - wasn't injured and the force said 'no property was stolen'.

GMP said in a statement a group of three boys approached him and made threats to harm him with what was reported to have been a knife.
