Hare Hill Park in Littleborough was cordoned off for much of Thursday (October 8) following the report.Police were called to the park at 1am on Thursday after a man reported he had been sexually assaulted by another man.Officers confirmed details of the allegation, appealed to the public for more information and started an investigation.Today a statement from Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers had conducted an investigation and concluded no crime had been committed.The statement said: "GMP commenced a criminal investigation following a report of a sexual assault at Hare Hill Park, Littleborough on Thursday 8October 2020."Following a thorough and diligent investigation, information has come to light that has confirmed no offences.
