A getaway van driver threw suspected packages of heroin onto the M56 motorway before being arrested outside Manchester Airport.
Officers at Cheshire Police first tried to stop the driver of the white Mercedes Sprinter van on the M56 near Warrington at around 5.30pm yesterday (March 5).
Police he failed to stop and 'made off at speed'. A dramatic chase followed, with officers from Greater Manchester Police joining the pursuit as the police helicopter hovered overhead.
