A driver attempted to hide a stash of cannabis underneath a car after being stopped by police. Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a car driving erratically on Burlington Street, in Ashton-under-Lyne, on Thursday, April 16.
Officers found the car parked up and then spotted the driver hiding behind it. As the officers got closer the man attempted to flee, but was soon stopped.
They then searched the car and discovered a large amount of cannabis discarded under the vehicle. The officers carried out house searches of a nearby address and found a haul of cannabis inside, as well as large sums of cash.
A man was later arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs, with intent to supply. GMP's Tameside North team shared
