Police close main road as woman 'on scooter' taken to hospital after crash

A stretch of a main road in Salford was closed off by police following a crash involving a woman 'on a scooter'. The crash, between the woman and a vehicle, happened at around 11am this morning (Tuesday) on Albion Street.

Officers closed off the road in both directions between the M602 and the A6 Broad Street, according to traffic alert service Inrix.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said the woman, who was 'on a scooter', suffered minor injuries. She was taken to hospital from the scene 'as a precaution'.
