A 'motorist' has found themselves in hot water after trundling along at 30mph on the M6 and M61... in a mobility scooter. Several alarmed drivers alerted police after spotting the vehicle in the middle lane, , LancsLive reports.
The 'vehicle' - a mobility scooter of sorts - had a roof and protective front guard and a large storage box, was stopped by police overnight.
The driver was finally pulled over on Lyons Lane South, headings southbound out of Chorley on its dual carriageway with multiple roundabouts.
It also had a bright red 'L' for learner plate. Police reported the driver and driver reported and the vehicle was seized.
