An elderly woman has been left with 'life-threatening injuries' after being hit by a car on a main road in Tameside. The 82-year-old woman was hit on Manchester Road in Audenshaw, near the Snipe Retail Park, at around 6pm last night (Monday).
She was rushed to hospital from the scene. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said her injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

A red Mercedes was pictured within the cordon last night, though officers have not confirmed whether this was the vehicle involved.
