A teenage boy has been left injured after being 'hit by a truck' on a busy main road in Rochdale on Tuesday evening (December 5).

Emergency services, including police and paramedics, raced to the incident on Oldham Road (A671) at the junction with the Rochdale Bypass at around 3.30pm after the collision.

The teenage boy was rushed to hospital with leg injuries after he was struck. Police closed off the road in both directions, causing major rush hour delays in the area. Greater Manchester Police said that the teen, whose age was not disclosed, had been struck by a truck at around 3.30pm and that no arrests had been made in connection with the incident.
