A woman was rescued from a lake in Rochdale by emergency crews. Police, firefighters, paramedics and rescue units were called to Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough just after 7.30pm last night (Thursday).
They were alerted to 'reports of a person in the water' at the popular beauty spot. A woman was rescued after being spotted by fire crews.
They 'led her to safety' before she was taken to hospital by paramedics. The woman's condition has not yet been confirmed. The North West Ambulance Service has been contacted for information. Two fire engines from Rochdale fire station, the water incident unit from Heywood, and a drone unit were quickly mobilised to the incident. "Firefighters located a woman in the water and led her to safety.
