A pensioner has died after being struck by a vehicle off the A6 in Stockport. Greater Manchester Police was called out to reports of a crash on Buxton Road at around 11.35am yesterday (November 9).
The force says a vehicle which was travelling south-east along Buxton Road mounted the pavement on its nearside. It then collided with a pedestrian, a 77-year-old man, near to junction of Fence Street.
He was taken to hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries. GMP says that following the collision, the vehicle re-joined the A6.
It was then followed for a short distance by another driver, whose vehicle collided with the first car on London Road, at the junction of Mill Street. READ MORE: 'My baby's been in hospital nine times...
