Police appeal for information after man found with head injury outside Scots pub

Police are appealing for information after a man was found with a serious head injury outside a pub in Greenock last night. The 52-year-old was found seriously injured outside the Black Cat bar on Laird Street in the Inverclyde town at around 9.10pm on Saturday October 22.

Paramedics were called and the man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Medics describe his condition as "serious but stable".

Police have issued an appeal for information in a bid to find out what happened prior to the man being discovered.Detective Inspector Nikki Wake said: “We are keen to speak to anyone inside or outside the premises on Saturday night who may have information to help our enquiries to establish the full circumstance of what happened.“In addition, if you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage that could assist our enquiries then please get in touch.”Anyone with information is asked to make contact with Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3717 of Saturday, 22 October, 2022.
