A second suspect has appeared in court charged with murder after the bodies of two men were found inside an Edinburgh flat.
Denim McLeod, also known as Dean, made no plea during the private hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, November 7. The 40-year-old was remanded in custody with the case against him submitted for further examination by prosecutors.
He is due to reappear within the next eight days. A 65-year-old man has already appeared in court in connection with the deaths.
A major murder investigation was launched after Desmond Rowlings, 66, and Derek Johnston, 37, were found inside a flat on Greendykes Road in the capital on November 1.Both men were pronounced dead at the scene by the emergency services and their next of kin have been informed.The daughters of Desmond have issued a picture of their father and described him as: “A loving, happy go lucky man who kept himself to himself.
