Police car 'loses control' and smashes into two motors outside Scots garage

A police car smashed into another motor at a Honda dealership in Inverness. Police were alerted after the incident at around 2:45pm this afternoon, Tuesday November, 8 at the Honda dealership on Harbour Road, Inverness.

Cops say the road has been closed and diversions are in place whilst emergency crews remain at the scene. Images show the cop car had hit two vehicles before coming to a halt.One picture shows the police car lying on top of the front of the Honda.

An officer is standing with his hand on his head as members of the public survey the scene.Another image shows eight fire fighters standing around the vehicles as they begin to recover the motors from the side of the road.Speaking to the Record a bystander says the police car was racing along the road when it lost control and hit a black Honda vehicle, before the collision with the blue Honda brought the vehicle to a halt.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.45pm on Tuesday, 8 November, 2022, emergency services were called to Harbour Road, Inverness, following a two car crash involving a police vehicle.
