A driver has been arrested after doing 91mph in a 30mph zone in Dunfermline. The 'shocking and reckless' motorist was snared while travelling on Kings Road in the Rosyth area of the city on the evening of Friday, November 25.
Fife Road Policing officers pulled the car over after clocking that the 22-year-old driver was going at a whopping three times the speed limit.
He was subsequently reported for dangerous driving.A photo taken at the scene, which was shared online by the force, shows a white car parked stationary on the road while a policeman holds a hand-held speed gun showing the speed reading that landed the driver in trouble.The incident was used as a warning to others, with a spokesperson adding that 91mph was illegal 'even on a motorway' and the driver 'will very possibly be disqualified'.
