Plans to build six new homes in a Westhoughton farm have been withdrawn by the applicant. Proposals to demolish a farm house and several outbuildings at Ashcrofts Farm, in Chorley Road, and build six detached dwellings were submitted to Bolton Council on April 20.
Private car parking spaces for each dwelling would have been provided on site and the modern commercial property to the rear would have been retained for continued non-residential use or possibly converted into housing as well.
The site lies within the green belt but has previously been used for residential and commercial purposes, including as former Bolton Wanderers' physiotherapist Stuart Cosgrove's practice.
