Piers Morgan has slammed billionaire football bosses for using taxpayers' money to pay their staff. Non-playing staff at clubs including Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle have been placed on furlough, meaning the government will cover 80% of their wages.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Monday, Piers called the move "disgusting" and called on fans to take action by not paying their season tickets next season.
He said: "If you're not gonna take care of the staff in their darkest moment, if you're going to fleece the British taxpayer to save your billions, we're not going to line your greedy pockets next season. "That might concentrate their minds.
