The senior government advisor has been slammed for travelling more than 250 miles from London to his parents' house in Durham, despite the government's instructions stay at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
When he was questioned about his decision Cummings said he "doesn't care" how it looks and insisted he'd done the "right thing".
Michael Gove, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, Chancellor Rishi Sunak and Health Secretary Matt Hancock have all rushed to defend him.
In response, Good Morning Britain host Piers argued Cummings has "trashed the credibility of every senior cabinet minister" with how the backlash has been handled.
