Piers Morgan has become a household name following his presenting role Good Morning Britain and Life Stories on ITV. However, the 56 year old journalist, who recently revealed that he is still battling long Covid five months and is on new medication, has not always had the surname Morgan.
Piers was born on March 30 1965 in Surrey to his father Vincent Eamonn O'Meara, a dentist from Galway, Ireland, and mother Gabrielle Georgina Sybille who was an English Catholic.
However the family suffered a tragedy when Vincent died in a road accident when he was just 11 months old and his brother Jeremy was three.
