Piers Morgan may just have thrown his hat into the ring to replace broadcasting great Jon Snow.Channel 4's longest serving news presenter has confirmed that he is stepping down after devoting 32 years to the job.The 72-year-old explained in a lengthy and heartfelt statement that it was "time to move on" after spending much of his long career on C4.He went on to add that he was "proud" of his achievements after making public his intentions to leave at the end of the year.Out-of-work Piers was quick to offer his services if telly bosses needed someone to jump into the hot-seat.
He tweeted: "Shall I dust down my tie collection @Channel4News?" Piers quit ITV's Good Morning Britain following a row over his remarks about Meghan Markle in.
