Phillip Schofield's brother allegedly played porn to teen while sexually abusing him, a court hears

A teenager allegedly abused by Phillip Schofield's brother told police he was made to watch porn while being sexually molested, a court hears.

Timothy Schofield, 54, is standing trial at Exeter Crown Court on 11 charges of interfering with a child On Tuesday morning the jury in the trial was played a video of the boy's police interview.

He said he felt powerless to escape the 'weird' situations orchestrated by his alleged abuser. "It very much felt there wasn't a way out," he told police. "When I said 'no' he was never too happy." One of the charges involves a sex act with the alleged victim while the others include forcing a child to watch pornography.The alleged victim told the police how Timothy Schofield said he had engaged in similar sexual behaviour when he was the boy's age. "It was so overwhelming," he said. "It felt really wrong and something that didn't feel right." He said the defendant used a projector to play adult pornography on the wall while he abused him. "It was never something I enjoyed, never something that was good." He said he feared the "very, very unpredictable" defendant might turn violent if he did not do as he was told.The allegations came to light when the teenager confided in a counsellor.Three weeks later the defendant was arrested.Timothy Schofield sexually abused the teenager over the course of three years.The civilian police worker from Bath denies the charges.

It is understood the offences allegedly took place while Tim - who grew up in Newquay along with his older brother - worked for Avon and Somerset Police.
