Phillip Schofield now talks about his career of over 30 years on TV as a thing of the past, after stepping down from his long-time position hosting This Morning last month.

But all may not be lost for the broadcaster, 61, as he could land a job at opinion-orientated news channel TalkTV to 'rebuild' his career when he is ready to, according to a PR expert. The host resigned with 'immediate effect' from This Morning last month, amid reports of a feud between him and co-host Holly Willoughby.

Following his resignation, Phillip then admitted to having an affair with a much younger male colleague while working at ITV, apologising for 'lying' to staff, friends and family.

In a tell-all BBC interview last week, the presenter admitted that he must now talk about his career in TV in the 'past tense' while stepping away from the limelight.
