Jane McDonald is 'favourite to replace Phillip Schofield on Dancing On Ice'
ok.co.ukJane McDonald is said to be the "top choice" to replace Phillip Schofield on Dancing On Ice, after "blowing ITV bosses away" during her recent hosting gig at the British Soap Awards.The 60 year old former Loose Women star presented the awards after its previous host, Phillip Schofield, resigned from ITV after admitting to an affair with a younger male colleague whilst he presented This Morning.
After weeks of rumours of a "feud" between him and his former co-presenter, Holly Willoughby, Phillip quit This Morning after 21 years, on May 20, before making the admission about the affair less than a week later.
After presenting the British Soap Awards earlier this month, Jane is said to have impressed ITV bosses so much that they're considering lining her up to present Dancing on Ice alongside Holly Willoughby, 42, who presented it alongside Phillip.
A source told The Mirror: “Jane is now the favourite to replace Phillip on Dancing on Ice when it returns next year. “She did a great job hosting the Soap Awards earlier this month and bosses are keen to sign her up.
