Philippine Game Show ‘Save Your Cash’ Tops MipFormats Pitch 2025 – London TV Screenings/MIP London Briefs
variety.comJamie Lang “Save Your Cash,” a physical challenge game show created by ABS-CBN Studios in the Philippines, won the MipFormats Pitch 2025 at Mip London, held in partnership with Fox Entertainment Global.
The competition showcased top format pitches from around the world, with MipFormats Pitch receiving 65 submissions from 23 countries.
In the end, “Save Your Cash” triumphed over a field that included quiz show “Easy100” (Turkey), guessing game “The Getaway” (UK), factual entertainment “Minus Life” (South Korea) and singing competition “Musical Attraction” (Indonesia). Christian Gamboa, the creator of “Save Your Cash,” received a $5,000 prize.
The winning format was selected by a jury consisting of Nathalie Wogue, Senior VP of Global Formats at Fox, and European commissioners Davy Parmentier of Belgium’s VTM and Burkhardt Weiss of Germany’s Seven.One Entertainment Group.
