Ole Gunnar Solskjær KSO (Norwegian pronunciation: (About this soundlisten); born 26 February 1973) is a Norwegian professional football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of English club Manchester United. As a player, he played as a forward and spent most of his career with Manchester United. Solskjær also supervises a training academy for young footballers in his home town of Kristiansund, and is a patron of the Manchester United Supporters' Trust.

Manchester United star Phil Jones was fully deserving of the hype that saw him join the club from Blackburn, but injury has stopped him from unlocking his true potential, claims former Blackburn team-mate Chris Samba.

Sir Alex Ferguson was apparently highly impressed with Jones' commitment and leadership skills at centre-back when Rovers held United to a 1–1 draw on the day United clinched the 2010–11 title. "Jones, arguably the way he is looking, could be our best ever player.

I think Jones may be one of the best players we have ever had, no matter where we play him,” Ferguson said after signing him for £16.5m.
