The PFA Awards have been postponed because of concerns surrounding the coronavirus outbreak. The ceremony was due to take place in London on Thursday with two inductees into the Premier League’s inaugural Hall of Fame on the agenda.
Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry were among the favourites for the award. But the ceremony has been called off with Premier League bosses set to meet with clubs earlier that day for crisis talks.
All Premier League games have been postponed until April 4 at the earliest because of the pandemic but this date is likely to be put back even further.
The League will decide whether it should still announce its two inductees this week. But it is more likely that the winner of the Hall of Fame could now be put on hold
