Denise Van Outen’s new man Jimmy Barba was reality TV star in Italy and appeared in Tom Jones music video
Denise Van Outen recently went public with new man Jimmy Barba after her devastating split from fiance Eddie Boxshall. After seven years, the Gogglebox stars went their separate ways in January after Eddie was found to be sending sexually explicit messages to other women.Mum-of-one Denise has spoken relatively openly about the break-up in interviews and in her memoir since, admitting ‘self-respect’ was keeping her from packing things up with her former partner. Now the West End star appears to be back on top, as this week she stepped out with Jimmy on a seriously impressive date – to the lavish Grand Prix Ball in London. The black-tie affair saw Denise and Jimmy pose on the red carpet, Jimmy leading her up the stairs by the hand to the venue, and enjoy a dinner with friends. But who exactly is Jimmy Barba? Well, it turns out he’s had his own flirtation with fame over the years. We already knew Jimmy, 55, is a property developer based in London and appears to be the father of a small child, judging fromphoto posted to his social media. However it has now been revealed that, as well as entrepreneurship, Jimmyis a reality TV star, having appeared on Big Brother in Italy, known as Grande Fratello. The businessman appeared on the show in 2010 and finished in fourth place, missing out on the €300,000 (£258,000) prize but striking up romances with two housemates during his time in the house. As reported by the Daily Mail, Jimmy described himself as a dancer and a farmer – and after his stint on the show Jimmy went on to have a (admittedly short-lived) pop career. He released three singles between 2012 and 2013 but none failed to break the charts, and Jimmy moved on to property development. However, before hitting the property world,

'Queen's personal request' Alicia Keys defends herself after Platinum Jubilee backlash
Queen as a "sister", and British Eurovision winner Sam Ryder seemed to fit the bill, some viewers were confused when Alicia belted out 'Empire State Of Mind' at the event, as the song is about New York."I mean I love Alicia Keys and this song BUT WHAT is an AMERICAN doing at the PLATINUM JUBILEE CONCERT singing about NEW YORK?????" one fan, @Magdalena_0319, tweeted in confusion. She exclaimed that Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, Paul McCartney or even Gary Barlow would have been a better choice than American Alicia. The songstress also took to the stage for soulful renditions of City of Gods, Superwoman and Girl On Fire. However her theme, according to some viewers, didn't "encapsulate our Queen"."Call me old fashioned, but why is Alicia Keys singing about NY when she is celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in LONDON?" concurred @Honestlnjim."Alicia Keys and New York – my fave song but one that doesn't exactly scream the Queen and jubilee tbf," joked @janemartinson.Meanwhile @bracealmighty exclaimed: "BBC: Have you got any songs that really encapsulate our Queen, that sum up her time on the throne and that really celebrate her 70 years running our country?"ALICIA KEYS: Yep…*plays opening notes to New York*#PlatinumPartyatthePalace."While it might have seemed an unusual way to celebrate the Queen's seven decade reign on a British throne, it turned out there was a reason - Her Majesty herself had requested it.Even Alicia's 12-year-old son Egypt weighed in with his own opinion, declaring solemnly that it was "against the law" not to obey the Queen. In her behind the scenes video capturing all the action from the big day, she told the world: "[I’m] telling the boys that the Queen requested the songs that I’m singing, and they

Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdinck's feud – bitter fallout and attempts to make up
Sir Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdinck have long been at loggerheads – for more than 25 years in fact – but what really caused the feud and what's gone on since? Both successful singers, Tom, 82, and Englebert, 86, were quite good friends prior to their careers starting and their subsequent feud. The duo were both involved with the same record label – MAM – and in 1965 Englebert teamed up with Gordon Mills, his former roommate who was the manager of Sir Tom Jones at the time. While Welsh singer Tom first shot to fame when Gordon got Jones a recording contract with Decca and subsequently released his debut single Chills and Fever in 1964. Gordon and Tom then teamed up to create record label MAM, which signed Englebert before a bitter break up.The pair first fell out when Englebert left the MAM Record label in the 1970s which was founded by Jones and Gordon, and managed both artists.Wales Online have previously reported that the pair "grew resentful of each other’s success and developed a simmering rivalry".It has also been widely reported that the pair have long been feuding over who is the most successful singer.Although the pair are said to have feuded over who was more successful, in 2015 it emerged that they in fact argued over a girl.Seven years ago Californian entrepreneur Charlotte Laws, who had a three-year affair with Jones from 1979, said she met Tom's arch nemesis when he was performing in Las Vegas.Back in 2015 she explained: "I’d been with Tom a year or two when I happened to be walking through the MGM and I was approached by members of Enge’s entourage.

The Voice series one stars now - fat-shaming row, singing at holiday camp and royal link
The Voice UK debuted on our TV screens back in 2012.The singing competition aired on BBC One at the time, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates, before eventually moving over to ITV after fears that the show could ‘upstage’ the X Factor.Leanne Mitchell was eventually crowned the winner of the first series, but later quit singing altogether after a furious fat-shaming row with judge Sir Tom Jones. With an original panel comprised of Jessie J, will.i.am, Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue, the show finally ended its BBC run in 2015.But where are the stars of series one now? From a royal connection to horrific rows, we take a look.Series one winner Leanne Mitchell left fans stunned when she soared to victory on the show mentored by Tom Jones, going on to release her debut single Run to You in June 2012.However, her debut album turned out to be a “huge flop” when it came out the next year, reaching number 134 in the charts - and Leanne was sadly dropped from her label in 2014.And shortly after, Sir Tom cruelly suggested that it was Leanne’s weight gain that led to her “singing at a holiday camp” rather than topping the charts.Speaking to The Sun, he said: “Leanne Mitchell, the girl who won the first one - she was singing at a holiday camp and she still is.
