EXCLUSIVE: In a competitive situation, Sherlock producer Hartswood Films has won the rights to adapt Cold War magic thriller The Warlock Effect into a TV series.

Manori Ravindran Executive Editor of International Prime Video drama “The Devil’s Hour” has cast “Top Boy” star Saffron Hocking for Season 2. The British actor has joined the Hartswood Films-produced drama in the role of Sam Boyd, a detective sergeant who worked under DI Lucy Chambers (played by Jessica Raine) in a past life. “The Devil’s Hour” was created by Tom Moran, and is executive produced by “Sherlock” showrunner Steven Moffat. The six-part thriller premiered on Prime Video in October. The show follows Lucy, a social worker suffering from insomnia, who is inexplicably connected to a number of brutal murders in her neighbourhood, and is drawn into the search for a serial killer. The show also stars Peter Capaldi as Gideon Shepherd, a mysterious criminal with a unique relationship with time.

Steven Moffat, the co-creator and showrunner of the Emmy-winning series Sherlock, said he would begin writing the show's fifth season if stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman committed to return.Moffat, 61, in an appearance on the BBC Today program Monday, said he'd 'start writing tomorrow' if the actors, who played Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson on the feted series, committed to another season of the show.'They're on to bigger and better things but, Martin and Benedict, "Please come back?"' Moffat said, according to Deadline.

Steven Moffat has said “we’ve just started talking about” a second season of acclaimed BBC/Netflix drama Inside Man and reiterated that he would “start writing Sherlock tomorrow” if stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman agreed to return.

Netflix shut out all of its competitors from the Top 10 spots on Nielsen’s overall U.S. streaming chart the week of October 31 to November 6.

Manifest is proving to be an asset for Netflix. The sci-fi drama debuted the first half its fourth and final season on the streamer on Friday, easily making its way to the No. 1 spot on last week’s Top 10 list.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter“The Time Traveler’s Wife” has been canceled after one season at HBO, Variety has confirmed.The series was based on the book of the same name by Audrey Niffenegger. The six-episode first and only season debuted on HBO in May with the finale airing on June 19.“Though HBO will not be moving forward with a second season of ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife,’ it was our privilege to partner with master storytellers Steven Moffat and David Nutter,” an HBO spokesperson said in a statement.
