Jose Mourinho's stance over Everton job with Roma boss under consideration
Jose Mourinho has committed his future to AS Roma only moments after the Portuguese boss was linked to the job at Everton.The former Chelsea manager has been with the Italian club since the summer and is enjoying his first season in Serie A, with the side pushing for a European spot.Following the dismissal of Rafa Benitez, an array of names have been connected with the vacant role at Everton, including Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, former Porto and Fenerbache manager Vitor Periera, who was linked to the club before Carlo Ancelotti was appointed. Even Roberto Martinez, who the club had sacked in 2016, was among the list of targets.On Tuesday, Sky Sports reported that Mourinho was another candidate who is being sounded out by the Toffees - but his move to Merseyside was squashed as soon as it started.Indeed, the report stated that, though an official approach had yet to be made to Roma by Everton, owner Farhad Moshiri was contemplating the prospect of appointing the former Tottenham and Manchester United manager.However, Kaveh Solhekol then said on Sky Sports News on Tuesday evening: "[Jose] is fully committed to the job he started at Roma.
