PlayStation Plus members will be able to download and keep several great games next month.Hitman 2, Overcooked: All You Can Eat, and Predator: Hunting Grounds are all free for PlayStation Plus owners next month. The games will be available between September 7 and October 4.

Games has dropped the first trailer for its next video game in the Wizarding World universe: “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.” The studio released the footage out of Summer Game Fest on Friday, where it also revealed the launch date for the followup to the massively successful “Hogwarts Legacy” will release on Sept. 3.

Sony has responded to potential criticism of the cost of PlayStation Plus, arguing that the price hasn’t moved in “many years”.In an interview with Barron’s, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s marketing, sales, and business operations head Eric Lempel was asked how the company calculated the recent rise in the cost of the subscription service.“We want to make PlayStation Plus great. With our reboot last year and introducing the tier system, a lot of consumers have recognised that there’s a lot of value in PlayStation 5,” replied Lempel.“I’m happy to say, unlike a lot of other subscription services out there, we haven’t touched the PlayStation Plus pricing for 85 per cent of the world in many years.

The Last Of Us Part 2 might become a part of PlayStation Plus‘ Premium collection of titles that are playable for the cost of a monthly subscription.PlayStation Plus Premium has all of the features of Essential and Extra like a new free PS5 and PS4 game each month, access to online modes in the player’s games, cloud storage, store discounts and more.However, it also allows subscribers to download and play PS1, PS2 and PSP games and stream PS3 games. Sony has announced October’s free PlayStation Plus titles that members will be eligible to download for the course of the month.From high-octane racing in Need For Speed: Payback to the atmospheric gothic horror of Vampyr, both titles will be free to download on PS4 for PlayStation Plus members from October 6 through to November 2.Need For Speed: Payback aims to deliver a summer blockbuster experience through exhilarating set pieces, nail-biting heists and visceral vehicle takedowns. The world of Fortune Valley is expressed through stunning open-world, offering multiple scenarios to undertake and opportunities to level up players’ characters and cars.Elsewhere, Vampyr is projecting Halloween vibes with deep, horror, action-RPG.

Sony has announced a new perk for PlayStation Plus members which allows the ability to play a selection of PS4 titles for free on the PS5.Described as “generation defining PS4 games”, the new benefit works similarly to Xbox Game Pass, and will be available for the PS5 on launch day. The PlayStation Plus Collection allows members to download and play a selection of PS4 titles on the next-gen system for no additional charge.Amongst the selection are classic first-party titles such as The Last of Us: Remastered, God Of War, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
