Coronation Street's Nina sparks health fears amongst fans as she holds Asha hostage
Nina Lucas has left Coronation Street viewers worried after it appears as though her anxiety has become much worst.On the latest episode of the long-running soap, Nina was clearly distressed when her girlfriend Asha Alahan was preparing to to take a day trip to Scotland for a university open day.Asha initially had reservations to leave her partner on her own however, after much encouragement she still decided to go.But Asha's plans were halted when Nina stole her phone and locked her in the cafe.Seeing the disturbing scenes unfold, viewers rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts.One fan penned: "Nina really does need professional help," followed by crying emojis.Another said: "Nina's gonna have a breakdown."A third upset viewer wrote: "Nina is really struggling. Coronation Street's Nina debuts blonde hair transformation as she kidnaps Asha
Coronation Street character Nina Lucas has had a bit of a makeover, brightening up her gothic look with a chunky blonde streak in the front of her hair.The character's new look was revealed in Coronation Street spoiler pictures, as upcoming episodes will see her anxiety really taking over.The fan-favourite character, who usually wears all-black and has deep, dark hair too, has dyed the front section of her locks a bright blonde, with some of it scooped up into her ponytail too.Of course, she still had her trademark dark eye makeup and black lipstick, though.In coming scenes, Nina (played by Mollie Gallagher) will struggle with letting girlfriend Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) go to Glasgow to check out a prospective university.Nina has been struggling with her anxiety ever since her boyfriend Seb Franklin was murdered last year in a horrific hate crime.And things get worse for her when Nina learns that Asha wants to apply for Glasgow University.Asha is worried about leaving Nina alone though, knowing how vulnerable she is.Nina spots the prospectus in Asha's bag and puts on a brave face, telling her to go and enjoy her day out in Glasgow.But she learns that there are floods expected in the Scottish city, and panics, sharing her fears about Asha's train journey with Roy Cropper (David Nielsen).Soon, Asha calls in to the café to see Nina before she sets off up north, and Nina takes her phone.Asha is stunned when she finds out Nina's nabbed her phone, with the worried character refusing to let her go to Glasgow.Things go up a notch when Nina locks the door of the café to stop Asha from leaving.Actress Mollie Gallagher joined the ITV soap in November 2019 and immediately won fans across the country.Her performance as Nina during

Coronation Street's Asha in Nina hostage horror amid heartbreaking exit twist
Coronation Street, you'd be wrong - as next week the teen is set to be kidnapped just before she plans to exit the cobbles.With the students of Weatherfield High currently embroiled in an upskirting plotline, with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) and Asha Alahan at the crux, it's full steam ahead for their university careers, with Summer set for Oxford and Amy bound for London.Asha, meanwhile, is planning to go all out with an application to Glasgow University.She confides in her twin brother Aadi (Adam Hussein) and Summer that she's planning to apply to the Scottish university, but frets that it's too far from home - and that she's reluctant to leave Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) when she's so vulnerable.Nina has, of course, been recovering from the violent attack which killed her boyfriend Seb Franklin - as well as the effects of the sinkhole tragedy on the cobbles.And later, she confides in dad Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) that she's having second thoughts - but her dad suspects that it's because Asha doesn't want to leave her on-again off-again girlfriend.Later in the week, Dev sets off to Daniel's flat to have a look at his leaky sink, and hands his daughter a guide book for Glasgow.But Nina soon spots the prospectus in Asha's bag - and, determined to put on a brave face, encourages her to enjoy her day out.Things soon take a dark turn as Nina's bad memories are dredged up, and she realises that floods are expected in Glasgow at the same time as Asha will be there.Concerned, she turns to her uncle Roy to share her fears about Asha's train journey.Asha pops into the cafe to see Nina before her trip, but a worried Nina pockets Asha's phone while she's there.
