Emmerdale has been hit with a new race row – months after the last that involved actors Matthew Wolfenden and Isabel Hodgins.The latest race row comes after a security guard was fired for allegedly being "offensive and racist".Duane Gardner, 49 – a former soldier turned security guard, was sacked from his role after he attended a disciplinary hearing.The hearing came after claims were made that he had insulted a group of Chinese tourists and ranted about the Qu'ran.He reportedly worked on the long-running soap for two years before his work pals made claims that he made the "offensive and racist" comments while in the security office.The former soldier has said that he felt "victimised" because nothing was ever fully proven.It has been reported in The Sun however that a report cited an "onset car crash" as the reason for him losing his job.Duane, who served in Afghanistan is from Harrogate, North Yorkshire.The 49-year-old veteran appeared in front of an ITV disciplinary panel, following an alleged racial incident. Gardner has now left his position as a Minimal Risk Consultant but the reason for this is not clear.MailOnline reports that at the hearing Duane said: "I find it astonishing I was fired when that saga with the actors was brushed under the carpet."I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong.
